What type of leather is used?

Vegetable-tanned leather. Unlike chrome-tanned or corrected leather, full-grain veg-tan retains the natural surface of the hide and develops a rich, personal patina over decades of use. It is the leather of choice for heirloom-quality goods.

Is it entirely handmade?

Yes, without exception. Every panel is cut, stitched, and finished by hand in our workshop in Romania. No machine stitching, no outsourced components. Each bag takes many hours to complete.

Will it fit a laptop?

A: Yes. The interior (32 × 25 × 8 cm / 12.6" × 9.9" × 3.1") comfortably accommodates all 13" laptops alongside daily essentials.

How heavy is it?

0.96 kg (2.1 lbs) empty. Vegetable tanned leather and solid brass hardware have natural weight, this is expected and appropriate for a bag built to last.

How do I care for it?

Condition occasionally with a natural leather balm or beeswax cream. Keep away from prolonged direct sunlight when not in use. The leather will naturally darken and develop character over time.

Is it sustainable?

Yes. The leather is sourced from rescued overstocks, premium surplus hides that would otherwise go to waste. Vegetable tanning uses natural, biodegradable tannins. And a bag built to last a lifetime is inherently more sustainable than one replaced every few years.
