Full Grain Vegetable Tanned Leather

We use full grain vegetable tanned leather, keeping the natural surface of the hide rather than removing or covering its grain.

At 3.8 mm thick, the leather has a substantial feel in the hand and enough structure for regular wear.

The surface will naturally show subtle variations in grain and texture. These are characteristics of the hide rather than imperfections.

With wear, vegetable tanned leather will also change gradually, becoming more personal to the way it is used.

Hand Dyed in Black

Each belt is dyed individually by hand in our workshop.

The finish is built gradually, allowing the natural character of the leather to remain visible beneath the black rather than creating a completely uniform, plastic looking surface.

This means there can be small differences in tone and grain from one belt to another.

We like that.

It means the belt still looks and feels like leather.
