Built in black and yellow leather, with a structured body, large opening lid, LOXX closure, and buckle strap, it has a bold vintage-sport look that feels right at home on a Lambretta-style, Vespa-style, or classic scooter.
The case is designed to hold a motorcycle helmet or items of similar volume. The body is rigid, clean, and practical, with a reinforced base made so the finished top case can be attached to a scooter rear rack with screws or bolts suitable for your own rack setup. The Design
I made this top case for a retro scooter, with enough volume for a motorcycle helmet or something similar. The idea looked simple at first, but the shape needed a lot of work — only the fourth version was good enough to show.
Once the shape was right, the case became exactly what I wanted: structured, practical, and full of character. I reinforced the bottom so it can be attached with screws to the rear rack. I know this is not a case for everyone, but I loved the idea too much not to make it.
